Tivoli Gardens

As you step through the ornate gates of Tivoli Gardens, you're transported to a world of pure imagination in the heart of the city.

And we are not taking about nordic design or straightforwardness, but also in fields we usually do not connect with this region of our world. While there always were important contributors to literature, science and arts like storyteller Hans Christian Andersen, philosopher Søren Kierkegaard, astronomer Tycho Brahe or physisist Niels Borh, Danish authors are an integral part of the Nordic Noir wave while Lars van Trier has established Danish cinema as a valued brands with actors like Mads Mikkelsen, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Sidse Babette Knudsen.

While we are at it: It seems as if the continent of Westeros in Game of Thornes would only be half as populated without the contribution of the Danish actors guild. And also, the Danes really produce great TV shows. The Bridge, Borgen ... Wow! Just great. And then, there is the "New Danish Cuisine". And we are not talking Smørrebrød here, we are talking Michelin-stars-awarded cuisine and Danish restaurants being awarded the title "best restaurant of the world" on a regular basis.

While not everything is perfect in Danmark of course, the country comes pretty close to it.
