Tramway by Wiener Linien

How to get around in Vienna?

Vienna is easy to navigate. It grew in circles, starting at the nucleus inside the - now grinded - city wall, contained by the Danube Chanel and the Ringstrasse, then adding the inner district encircled by the Gürtel (Belt).

Public Transport

Underground trains (U-Bahn) run from about 5.00 am in the morning to about midnight, except weekend nights and the nights before holidays with continuous service. Trams and buses normally stop running earlier. A detailed timetable is available at each stop or with the qando app on your mobile. Night buses run every night along the city’s most important routes. Public transport in Vienna is very gay-friendly. Wiener Linien takes part in the Rainbow Parade every year.
