If you want to know anything about us, meaning the state of the world, you should visit the United States of America. No doubt, it is the cultural dominant factor, at least in the West. We all grew up with American TV, each decade hat its own favorites.

Whatever you want, you probably will get it there, see it there ore much better: feel it there. The US is all about feeling and emotion. Everything is a bit better, smells a bit nicer, looks a bit more colorfull and is a bit bigger, especially when it comes to Texas. Everything is bigger in Texas, that is for sure.

If you are lucky enough, you have friends from the States who show you around. Don't worry, you will rarely feel alone. It is very easy to find people to spend a good time with. In contrary, it is not easy to find American friends. I still hear the old prejudice that American are superficial. While that might be true in some contexts, it is not true when it comes to friendships. It is just very difficult to get to know Americans so well that they will call you a friend. If you are called a real friend by an American they mean it.
