The Cyclades seen from Delos

The Cyclades are a spectacular island group in the Agean Sea, just South of Attica and Athens. Some of the most popular holiday destinations like Santorini or Mykonos are part of the archipelago and each island is different from the other ones.

They got their name because the islands seem to be scattered - seemingly in circles - around the mythological birthplace of Apollon and Artemis, the island of Delos.
