At Lillis Ballroom you are passionately reminded of the many benefits of tango dancing for body and mind.

This is what the Queer Tango class is all about: open to everyone, free from the rigid structure that men must lead and women must follow, no matter who you are and who you want to dance with.

Lilli's Ballroom's tango realm embraces anyone who wants to dance carefree and express themselves without prejudice in an inclusive atmosphere. In a space that allows dancers to play the role that suits them: lead or be led.

“The reciprocal engagement with the other person in Tango Argentino, the feeling of the bodies, the experience of the great musicality of tango, resulted in an enthusiasm that I might be inclined to use the word addiction - in a positive sense.”  – course participant

Tango is a wonderful couple's dance that focuses on communication with your partner, where you discover yourself and your own abilities as a dancer. Sometimes you dance with your eyes closed. Detached from patterns and thoughts, feeling and hearing take on a new dimension of their own accord.

Jenseits der Gendergrenzen beide Rollen lernen - Diversity inclusive – Achtung große Suchtgefahr!

The change of partner and role in queer tango is challenging, but an incredible gain. Recommended for all those who like leading and following in equal measure, prefer to be in charge or want to indulge in a pleasurable leadership!

I can dance with anyone and everyone, queer or non-queer, I learn to lead and follow, I never have to wait to be asked, I can do it myself and actively.
